Membership Timeline

This document is for helping current and prospective members of the organization understand the timeline for how a recruit can become a member at Nebula Labs.

A quick look at the timeline

Project leads give the membership form to the recruits > Recruits fill out the form > Leadership evaluates the applicants > Recruits become members!

Qualifications to become a member at Nebula Labs

In order to become a member at Nebula Labs you must be an active contributor.

What is an active contributor?

• An active contributor is someone who regularly shows up to meetings and makes tangible contributions to a project for at least one semester, i.e. 3 PRs to fix known bugs, redesigning the home page, or helping the design team design new components

• Generally, most recruits who become members will generally spend 5-10 hours a week on Nebula-related activities, though YMMV

1. Project Leads

• Project leads will send out a membership form, provided by leadership, to their respective projects at the end of the semester.

2. Recruits

• Once given the membership form by their project leads, the recruits will fill out questions pertaining to which project they have worked on and why they want to become a member.

3. Members

• You will gain the power to vote once election time comes around
