Discussed costs at weekly meeting.

Need to look into optimizing GCP costs.

SOC is annoyed at us for dynamic costs, they’d prefer recurring costs. For mongo, we could have a shared instance. That has set cost per month, could set as recurring cost. However, comes with storage limits and slower compute. For GCP, we could do a mass purchase of cloud credits so we don’t pay a per month cost. This could make SOC happy, but we’d have to do some analysis to figure out potential costs. Not sure if mongo has an equivalent, will be reaching out to sales to get more info on that.

Meeting with Joshnext week to discuss API & Platform needs, in order to balance them with SOC wants.

Meeting with Prisha (personal contact in SOC) to discuss the funding process. Need to schedule meeting with higher up SOC person to get more thorough overview.

For fiscal report, just need to talk to alums to grab more info
