Heyy @Notifications, Welcome to the Nebula Labs Discord 🙌🥳We are an interdisciplinary group of designers, engineers, product specialists, and marketing managers that builds open-source software for the UTD community 🚀

The best way to get involved is by attending our ‼️Spring Kickoff on Tuesday, January 28th at 7:00PM in SCI 1.220‼️ We’ll be talking more about our projects, divisions, and recruitment 🎉

# Interest Form Announcement

Hello @Notifications! The Nebula Labs interest form is open! 🎉

We still encourage you to get involved in the organization over the next week before the form is due on February 5th but if you’re eager to submit, go right ahead. We hope you’ll learn about the organization and meet some of the amazing people within it. These experiences should help you narrow down what part of the organization you would like to join.

As just a general reminder, contributing to a Nebula Labs project will require 5-10 hours per week and regular attendance at project meetings for the whole semester. Please consider this carefully before filling out the interest form.

In the name of transparency, we want to remind everyone our project teams have a limited capacity to accommodate new recruits (project leads are students after all 😅). To provide the best experience for new contributors while maintaining momentum on our projects, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that everyone can be matched onto a team. This does not however prohibit anyone who is not matched from attending meetings, they are always open to everyone. Matching just gives priority attention and expedited access to tools.

During this time we will do our best to accommodate as many of you all as possible, so make sure to fill out the form below! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to myself or post them in the #general channel, and check out the Confluence page below to learn more about the interest form process. We are excited to form the new teams and get some amazing work done this semester 🎉

Howdy @Notifications! The Nebula Labs interest form results have been released!

If you filled out the form you will have gotten an email to your UTD email.

If you’ve been placed on a team **please respond to accept or decline the placement**. If accepting, we ask that you show up to your weekly project/division meetings and make sure you have the right roles in Discord to access messages. You’ll also be getting a few more emails from GitHub, Confluence, and Figma as I add you to all those tools.

If you haven’t been placed on a team and you feel you’d still like to be a part of Nebula Labs, please **show up to meetings anyways**. Participate in learning and discussions for a few weeks then ask your project lead or division head to add you to the tools.
