  • Once a week for each team at semester start

  • Decrease frequency as semester goes on

  • Thoughts

    • 1: This sounds good for now

    • 2: Have a way to document updates

    • 3: Thinking about doing more documentation in Product for transparency sake

    • 2: If we have 1:1, might lead to communication issues across org?

    • 4: Discussed doing a three-week cycle for all of leadership?

      • 3 week scrum sprints

      • Beginning is sprint planning + assign tasks

      • End is retro

Recruiting

• Need marketing, product, and design

  • Marketing: Need Head of Marketing, and social media role

    • Goal is to set up foundation of the division

  • Product: Starting fall recruiting cycle

    • Summer: Recruited interested people into the Product division, onboarded new people

    • Collaboration between Marketing and Product will be important this semester

    • Will need new PM’s, planning to work with a product-focused club

• Cometville - Wed 8/23 2-4PM

  • Chess plaza

  • Setup starts at 12:45, we need to be there at 10

  • See Discord thread for helping with setup/running event

  • Idea: We could purchase water, hand out to those who follow us

    • Likely not funded by SOC

    • To be decided by those organizing Cometville

• ECS Student Org Fair - Tues 8/29 11-1PM

  • To meet for possible redesign of trifold

• Reach out if available/interested to help with either event

• Existing club connections

  • ACM, AIS, Women in STEM, ITM SLC, product-based club, WWC, UX Club, Data Science Club

  • We should expect to reciprocate advertising at our kickoff
