Design

• Want a cohesive design language

  • We do have +/- letter grades

  • some prof’s don’t do +/-, so could look weird on a comparison

  • Could rank by GPA?

  • Need to improve colors - more distinctive and clear

  • Chart design: what if we have staggered bar design, like a pie chart in a bar form

  • Feedback: So many bars, clutters design

  • Do we want to see that there’s no A+'s

  • So, should we simplify graph in to letters, or keep + and -?

    • Middle ground: offer choice to group by GPA

    • AB testing might be useful

    • ONLY A and A+ are valued the same

  • Engineering: Should implement this even if we have to change some elements

  • incorporate functional design elements from card components into cleaner design

    • Current design is based on autocomplete

    • User testing/feedback: current system isn’t intuitive

    • How do we balance intuitiveness and power
