Adopting Git Flow Proposal For Our Organization

  • Would be a good idea to implement now as teams are getting set up

  • Each team may need some slight custom ability, but this can be developed around the overarching structure

  • Could be a good thing to talk about during the first official monthly engineering meeting

 

  • This implementation will be an improvement over the current setup

  • Jason will put his own edits into the proposal document and run it past the project leads

  • The goal is to implement this in all of the running projects by October 11th

Engineering Recruitment

  • Overall the recruitment for engineering went well

  • Good mix of experience across the recruits

  • Was happy that the other divisions got much needed recruits

  • No formal plan of education for these new recruits

  • Supplemental monthly meetings that should help educate them about certain topics

  • We need to add docs about styling to engineering confluence

Upcoming Goals for the Semester

  • Talked about the a formal style guide beyond just linting, finishing up the Git flow setup for each project, and finishing the website
